Louisa Antico
Louisa Antico, Concetta’s younger sister, is
a well known artist in Australia. Since graduating
from the National Art School East Sydney (1991) with
a Diploma of Fine Art, Louisa started what has become
a prolific and diverse output of artworks. Initially
exhibiting in inner city galleries, she started her
career as an artist and at the same time created a
small business, Scent of Art in late 1991. This was
the start of her independent lifestyle where her creative
ambitions were supported by her own business.
In 1994, Louisa opened her own studio & gallery
in Clovelly and started selling her works directly
to the public. According to Louisa, "the ideal
and integrity of each work itself is the motivating
force." With the daily exposure to nature and
the surrounding landscape of the Blue Mountains, Louisa
creates images that radiate light and are connected
to the simple beauty of life… in all its forms.
