Statement
“I just drink in all the gifts of earth’s
beauty every day and think, what an artist
God is! But it is inexplicable until I paint
it.
My subjects find me. Their beauty "speaks"
to me and moves me profoundly. It is this
conversation of the heart that remains on
my canvas forever…
Luminous beauty is fleeting. Fugitive light
tarries with me then steals beauty away ~
my enemy is Time. So, I paint with a sense
of urgency. I only have moments to capture
beauty and preserve it. Why a sky can open
and close while I watch in amazement and helplessness
at its brevity. It is only through my painting
that I can transcend transient beauty in nature.
Only then can I share all that is breathtaking.
Anticipating that at some later time, others
may know upon seeing my work, how magical
it all was. Even beyond when my time has past.
Art
embodies every part of my life. I live it…
I even live in it! Those who visit my home
know an artist lives here. For me it’s
all things bright and beautiful. Light and
nature ~ simple joy and family fill my world.
These express me and they explain me. Why
I tell others, my greatest creations are my
children, my children tell me they’re
my art. I bow to both.
Living with your passion everyday makes life
blissful as you anticipate the joy of the
next day, and the next, just so you can do
“it “ all over again. Because
of this, painting has made, saved and continues
to inspire my life. "My wish is to do
the same for others, for you." Please
